Our philosophy has always been rooted in principles of social, ecological and economic responsibility. We carefully select the materials for our knives by following these principles.

The wood for the handles has it's origin in the wood processing of the early 1950ies. Due to the long drying period of over 50 years the volume change of these rarities has almost reached its minimum. Beside these treasures we do only use wood from regional suppliers who are utilizing sustainable forestry.

Wood is naturally antibacterial and antistatic.
